PRODUCT OF THE WEEK: Falling in Love Summer: Philosophy

philosophy: like a shooting star in the night sky, summer love captures you in a spectacular moment. summer love may be fleeting, but its spark is unforgettable.

One of the sweetest smelling, summer loving and body smoothing, shampoo, bath & shower gels I've ever used. This is a tester of course, but I can't wait to buy the full bottle. This bottle also came with a body cream and a face wash. All are amazing and all smell so sweet, light and beautiful, perfect for summer.

Eśtée Lauder Signature | Tender Mauve Lipstick

So I found this lipstick deep inside my makeup drawer sometime this week. Its one of Eśtée Lauder's older lipsticks but the color is so beautiful. It gives a more prominent pinkish color to your lips but also adds some sparkle which is oh so fun for casual days and even nights out. The lipstick itself is packaged so beautifully but it even smells good. Eśtée Lauder has this signature smell in all their products (the ones I use) that makes you fall in love with it even more. Their products really makes you feel like a girl.

My buys this week were just for Spring. On Wednesday I went to this boutique by my house that based on the window was super girly! The mannequins were covered in bright pastels, flowy skirts and cute tops.  On Wednesday, I also went to Abercrombie and Fitch and bought shorts on sale for $25 which was amazing! So hears my Spring buys!

Tye-Dye Top Coat by Style.com

The road to imaginative nail-polish creation is fairly well traveled at this point. Between matte, chunky glitter, speckled, and rubberized finishes, it’s easy to feel like you’ve seen it all when it comes to lacquer innovation. But there’s still plenty of room for surprise in the wonderful world of top coats. Between the shatter and shimmer effects that can now gloss over and crackle your base color, YSL has found room for its new La Laque Couture Tie & Dye collection. A visual feast in the bottle containing three separate phases of polish—a sparkle phase, a sheer solid phase, and a clear gloss phase—the four transparent top coats add a wash of glimmering pigment to pure polish bases: 01 Cool Coat is a bright melon, 02 Pop Coat is a pretty fuchsia, 03 Hip Coat is a warm lilac, and 04 Ice Coat is a dark blue. Pull the brush out as is, or shake to combine all three phases together first, and then paint on top of a fresh manicure at will. We were a little disappointed to learn that the varnishes didn’t apply in a single ombré streak, as we assumed they did upon first glance (that kind of innovation, it appears, still remains elusive), but we were pleasantly surprised to find that 02 Pop Coat gives bare nails a lovely tinted sheen when worn on its own.

OFOTD (outfit of the day) April 2

I love stripes. They just make everyone look good (at least in my mind). Today was such a nice hot day. Perfect for a long skirt and a tank. It got a bit windy late during the day so I brought a light sweater. Today is the last day of Pesach (THANK G-D!) which means that tonight I can finally eat bread. Its very hard to restrict your self from something that is in most everyday foods, especially in the US. In Israel most food companies make "Kosher for Passover" snacks and food so its not such a hassel, but here in San Francisco theres a small handfull of stores that sell kosher snacks for Passover (not just matzah). Truthfully, I hate this holiday. Yes, its a holiday that commemorates the Jewish people leaving Egypt but why 8 days of commemoration? Why not 1 or 2? I do love the meaning of Passover and how families and friends come together to sit and learn about our Jewish history. I think its beautiful. To my Jewish followers, what do you like/dislike about Pesach?

Outfit Of The Day- March 31

My outfit today was casual but preppy. Today I went to a "Chocolate Passover Seder" which was a lot of fun. I saw lots of old friends from school and ate way to much chocolate. After a nice morning catching up with old friends, I went back home made some Matzah Ball soup, Schnitzel  and 2 kosher for Passover cakes for lunch and dinner. Now I'm lounging on my couch eating my bowl of soup and getting up to date on my "facebook life".

What I'm wearing:
Plaid Blazer- Gap
Plain Black Top- Nordstrom BP
Jeggings- H&M
Smoker Flats- Urban Outfitters

Is That Your REAL Hair!?

Bright clothes are on this spring and summer but also bright hair. From firetruck red to baby pink! Us girls always need something BOLD and NEW and this season its out with the old and in with the new. I know that I really want to try something new.

Here are some how to's thanks to Seventeen Magazine!

Blend It
White insists that the most important thing about rocking ombré locks is that all the color should blend together really well so it isn't obvious exactly where a color starts! “I hate it when it looks like a candy cane! You shouldn’t see stripes!” he said.

Find Your Shade
Although you can definitely go bold with this trend by creating an extreme black to blonde look or adding a color, we love the look best when it feels more natural. White recommended going no more than two color stages lighter on each level.

DIY Ombré
If you’re trying to master at-home color by turning your bathroom into a salon, White said to always test out a very small section of hair first! Use a timer and color a few strands in the back of your head, near your neck (where no one will see it if it doesn't come out as planned), so you know exactly how long to do the rest of your head for.

Plan Ahead
The number one key to perfect ombré hair? “Placement,” said Kyle. “Use the different colors to bring out your best features.” If you want to make your eyes really pop, start the color at eye-level; if you want to enhance your cheekbones or jawline, then start it there. However, if you have super dark hair, Kyle recommended only doing your ends, since a light color may look too severe.

Black on Black

Wore this outfit last week. I was wearing a low cut, black flowy sweater with grey jeggings and my Vince Camuto Boots. I usually wear clothes with more color but I decided that I would go a little darker. Definitly not going to be wearing such dark colors this spring but that day was like a "Goodbye Winter" outfit.
