Bow Day
First of all, I am so sorry for the horrible photo quality. After my bow post I really wanted to start wearing bows. They're so preppy and give your hair an elegant touch that anyone would love.

OMBRE LIPS
First it was all about ombre hair, after it was the ombre nails and now is the chance of the ombre lips.
Here we’re going to give you some tips to get them in a few easy steps.
STOP!
Before coloring your lips with all kind of lipstick you should prepare your lips. How? You can exfoliate them with a simple scrub made of sugar and honey. To seal them put some ice for a few seconds and to finish some lip balm. Now they are ready to color!
You’ll need:
2 different lipstick colors. One dark, one light. It doesn’t’ matter the combination, what it matters is that you can see the contrast or the transition between them.
1) Apply the darker one first. You can border your lips leaving some blanks in the middle. Then apply the light one in the center of the lips.
2) Blend them using a brush or just your fingers tapping them softly.
If you want you can seal them with some lip-gloss to shine or translucid powder to get a matte effect.
Et voilà! You got your ombre lips!

Eśtée Lauder Signature | Tender Mauve Lipstick
So I found this lipstick deep inside my makeup drawer sometime this week. Its one of Eśtée Lauder's older lipsticks but the color is so beautiful. It gives a more prominent pinkish color to your lips but also adds some sparkle which is oh so fun for casual days and even nights out. The lipstick itself is packaged so beautifully but it even smells good. Eśtée Lauder has this signature smell in all their products (the ones I use) that makes you fall in love with it even more. Their products really makes you feel like a girl.

'Eau de Charlotte'
'Eau de Charlotte' By Annick Goutal
The other day, I went to Saks with my ema (mom in Hebrew). She and I were just wandering around the fregrance section when we found Annick Goutal's selection of perfumes. For those of you who dont know about Annick Goutal, she created perfumes based on raw materials from her day to day life. All her perfumes are made with high quality, natural essences. Each of her sophisticated scents evokes a memory or an emotion that draws you in. "Eau de Charlotte" was one of her scents that I completely fell in love with. It smells of a fruit-laden delicacy of black currant buds, sweetened by mimosa, vanilla and cocoa. Annick created this sent for her stepdaughter, who loved life and especially black-currant jam, this scent spicifcally reflected her personality and loves. "Close your eyes and imagine a deliciously mellow blend of black currant buds and the sweet plumpness of mimosa and cocoa beans. A floral, fruity blend for a mouth-watering, spiritual fragrance spiced with romance that unfolds its beauty under the summer sun and the first days of autumn…for the romantic, mischievous woman."* Going back to my day at Saks, I guess that once I smelled that perfume it reminded me of my childhood. I grew up a curious and sweet girl that always wanted to know more. Now I guess I can say, I am a "romantic, mischievous woman"!

The Style Economy
The Style Economy
Wow, this was a tough week. There were enough great posts in the submissions to make TWO roundups... but alas, there is only room for 20. So making a mix of informative, introspective, and fun posts I really got to pick some fun posts from the community! It seemed like we had our mind on our money and our money on our mind this week as there were some great posts linking lipstick and shoes to the economy, how to set your wardrobe budget, a wonderful example of restyling items in our wardrobe and a great tips on finding Spring accessories on the cheap. So click on, you'll be delighted by the things you'll learn (I particularly liked the informative post about fragrance) and the new habits you just might pick up.Links à la Mode: April 4, 2013

OFOTD (outfit of the day) April 2
I love stripes. They just make everyone look good (at least in my mind). Today was such a nice hot day. Perfect for a long skirt and a tank. It got a bit windy late during the day so I brought a light sweater. Today is the last day of Pesach (THANK G-D!) which means that tonight I can finally eat bread. Its very hard to restrict your self from something that is in most everyday foods, especially in the US. In Israel most food companies make "Kosher for Passover" snacks and food so its not such a hassel, but here in San Francisco theres a small handfull of stores that sell kosher snacks for Passover (not just matzah). Truthfully, I hate this holiday. Yes, its a holiday that commemorates the Jewish people leaving Egypt but why 8 days of commemoration? Why not 1 or 2? I do love the meaning of Passover and how families and friends come together to sit and learn about our Jewish history. I think its beautiful. To my Jewish followers, what do you like/dislike about Pesach?

Outfit Of The Day- March 31
My outfit today was casual but preppy. Today I went to a "Chocolate Passover Seder" which was a lot of fun. I saw lots of old friends from school and ate way to much chocolate. After a nice morning catching up with old friends, I went back home made some Matzah Ball soup, Schnitzel and 2 kosher for Passover cakes for lunch and dinner. Now I'm lounging on my couch eating my bowl of soup and getting up to date on my "facebook life".

The Beautiful Abyss
This week I was inspired by these 20 bloggers. Their amazing ideas on fashion and beauty inspire new bloggers like me. click on some and check them out. happy blogging!
The Beautiful Abyss
Beauty is only skin deep, beauty comes from within. From actually taking care of your skin to being comfortable in your own skin, this is where style starts. We've had a lot of thoughtful entries this week, and I loved reading the posts. Breaking style rules, mixing punk and modesty, and a full on deconstruction of cats on the internet and fashion (my two favorite things). Anyway, before I digress, you'll get lost in a world commentary so perhaps you'll digress into the abyss as well.Links à la Mode: The IFB Weekly Roundup March 28th

Black on Black
Wore this outfit last week. I was wearing a low cut, black flowy sweater with grey jeggings and my Vince Camuto Boots. I usually wear clothes with more color but I decided that I would go a little darker. Definitly not going to be wearing such dark colors this spring but that day was like a "Goodbye Winter" outfit.

Whats Your Acne Telling You- By The Beauty Gypsy
I always knew that the once-monthly spots that overtook my chin were the result of not-so-stable hormones. However, when my dermatologist took one look at the sudden outcrop of angry zits on my nose and asked me to get my blood pressure checked, it introduced me to a whole new (actually old) science of face mapping, which is pretty much the key to unlocking the mysteries behind problem skin.
Face mapping, which is fast taking centre stage at most clinics nowadays, combines Ayurveda and ancient Chinese medicine with cutting edge dermatologists’ prescriptions to explain how certain parts of your face are connected to other areas of your body. Put simply, think of your face as a map and blemishes as X’s on that landscape. Spots in different zones correspond to different problems. So, with this “map” as your guide, you can address the underlying causes of blemishes and not only make the unsightly zits vanish but also treat the underlying health problem in time.
Pretty awesome, right? Try it out: Here is how to decode breakouts in the basic areas.
1 & 2: Digestive System — Eat less processed or junk food, reduce the amount of fat in your diet, step up water intake and opt for cooling things like cucumbers.
3: Liver — Cut out the alcohol, greasy food and dairy. This is the zone where food allergies also show up first, so take a look at your ingredients. Besides all this, do 30 minutes of light exercise every day and get adequate sleep so your liver can rest.
4 & 5: Kidneys — Anything around the eyes (including dark circles) point to dehydration. Drink up!
6: Heart — Check your blood pressure (mine was slightly high) and Vitamin B levels. Decrease the intake of spicy or pungent food, cut down on meat and get more fresh air. Besides this, look into ways to lower cholesterol, like replacing “bad fats” with “good fats” such as Omegas 3 and 6 found in nuts, avocados, fish and flax seed. Also, since this area is chock-full of dilated pores, check that your makeup is not past its expiry date or is skin-clogging.
7 & 8: Kidneys — Again, drink up! And cut down on aerated drinks, coffee and alcohol as these will cause further dehydration.
Zone 9 & 10: Respiratory system — Do you smoke? Have allergies? This is your problem area for both. If neither of these is the issue, don’t let your body overheat, eat more cooling foods, cut down on sugar and get more fresh air. Also keep the body more alkaline by avoiding foods that make the body acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, sugar) and adding more alkalizing foods like green veggies and wheatgrass juice. Another thing that most of forget – dirty cell phones and pillow cases are two of the top acne culprits and this area is what they affect the most!
Zone 11 & 12: Hormones — This is the signature zone for stress and hormonal changes. And while both are sometimes unavoidable, you can decrease their effect by getting adequate sleep, drinking enough water, eating leafy veggies and keeping skin scrupulously clean. Another interesting point: breakouts in this area indicate when you are ovulating (and on which side).
Zone 13: Stomach — Step up the fibre intake, reduce the toxin overload and drink herbal teas to help with digestion.
14: Illness — Zits here can be a sign that your body is fighting bacteria to avoid illness. Give it a break, take a yoga class, take a nap, take time to breathe deeply, drink plenty of water and know that everything always works out!
So the next time you break out or notice dark under-eye circles, look to your face map: your skin is probably trying to communicate on behalf of the internal organs. However, do remember that, as with all medical issues, it is always best to see your doctor or dermotologist for a proper prognosis. This is just a general guide to head you off in the right investigative direction – just becuase you break out between the brows doesn’t always mean you have a bad liver!

The New Ed.
Lewis Watson 20 year old singer/songwriter from Oxfordshire. He's releasing his new EP "The Wild", March 26. Also released his new single "Into the Wild" which will also be on his new EP. I really think that Lewis has very similar music to Ed Sheeran, who hit the charts last year for his song "A-Team". Lewis Watson has 2 other albums made ("Its Got Four Sad Songs On It BTW" and "Another Four Sad Songs"). Both have beautiful songs that are lovely (LOVE-LY), I love them. Lewis is also on tour!! But only in the UK.... which sucks but if he starts gaining popularity in the US maybe he'll come over.

11-01-12 Hello November
| Hazel Sweater, Gap Skinny Jeans, and Boots |
Hello November!
Todays outfit is my normal, fall/winter kind of outfit for school. A cropped, thick sweater with cute skinny jeans and boots with thick high socks. I go to school in the city (SF), which is always foggy and cold so its a normal thing to wear layers upon layers of clothes, but you definitely don't want to look either over dressed or sloppy. My outfit is very simple but the thickness and the structure of the sweater give it a sami casual vibe.
