Travel: Class Trip to Israel

Right after a 14 hour flight from SFO to LAX to TLV Ben Gurion Airport, we climbed on to our tour bus to our first destination, Caesaria. We started our first day admiring the beach and beautiful sunset. 

Our first day in Israel was jampacked with physical activities. After staying in Tiberias for the night, we drove up North for an intense hike (for me) up Jilabun in the Golan Heights. We then visited Katzrin, a village from the Messianic Period and then we drove to the second highest point in the Golan Heights. We were able to see past the border between Israel and Syria. It was the perfect opportunity for a selfie. 

The next was one of the best. We met with students that are part of a mechina program in Kfar HaNassi. A mechina program is for Israeli girls and boys that are suppose to begin their required service in the IDF, but instead they choose a year of study before going into the Israeli army. During this year they study philosophy, political science, democratic values, and community service. The goal of the mechina is to develop a group of young leaders dedicated to national service. Throughout the day we spoke with them about how it was to be a teen living in Israel or in the US and what our ideas of zionism is. We had time to just hang out and have fun with them. It was one of the best experiences I had in Israel. 

Black & White Sunday in Tahoe

Last weekend my youth group and I all went to Tahoe for the weekend. It was a weekend filled with learning, laughing, and freezing our butts of in the snow. Sunday morning my friend Ariel and I decided to have a small photo shoot.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Whats the number one thing to do in October with your family? Going to the Pumpkin patch! It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon to pick a pumpkin and to take millions of Fall inspired photos with the family (plus some selfies). 

Los Angeles

Los Angeles. One of the most magical cities. Home of the many famous landmarks of California. My family and I decided that it was time for another road trip to LA. We gathered up our belongings, stuffed them into the car, bought tons of junk food, blasted music (especially Blurred Lines) and went on our way. Coming from a  Jewish-Persian family, whats the one place where everything is Kosher? Pico St! We legit ate as much as we could, it was amazing. If your ever traveling to LA you have to stop by one of the best burger places, Jeff's Burgers. Its actually the best burger you will ever eat and they're kosher! Other than food, we shopped until we dropped (not even kidding). Century City. The Grove. Rodeo and Beverly Dr. Shopping shopping shopping. There was an adorable boutique on Beverly Dr. called "A Sweet". It's very classy and girly, truly sweet. Not only does it sell the top brands, but also candy! The owner always dreamed of creating a store that combined her two loves, clothes and candy. Its a must see. 

Century City Mall is like a regular mall, giant movie theater, lots of stores, nothing special. The Grove though, wow, the Topshop that they opened there was amazing. I was so overwhelmed by how much there could be. I didn't buy anything which was really stupid of me, but Topshop is always one of the tabs I have when I'm online shopping. I bought a few things on my trip to Los Angeles and I'll be sure to write posts on how fab they are all (lol not really). Catch you babes later!
